Grants dunk was phenomenal but maybe not even his best this season.

It seems from some of the other comments on this thread that some of you haven't watched much of this team this season, to be fair I don't blame you it hasn't been pretty most of the time. The passing out of the double team and the movement away from the ball on the double team is about 1000% better than it was to start the season but yes, still needs some improvement, but the easy buckets by Skunberg and Yoder cutting to the basket and getting the pass hadn't been happening all year until the UND game last week. Grant and Andrew working the interior passing game is also new as of a week or two ago, as is the high low action they worked or at least attempted to work a few times in this game.

Jacari White is the most improved player from game 1 until now, in preseason practice this is the guy he looked to be so I was really surprised he had such a rough start, his defense has come a long ways and now is often tasked with guarding the other teams best guard and taking some pressure off Boden to be that guy.

The Wheeler-Thomas iso play at the end of the half has been the go to for a while, to say that isn't his strong suit isn't true, his best shot is the pull up 15-17 footer, he didn't shoot particularly well in this game but if you watched the EWU or Portland games you'd see that's definitely his game. He also broke Massner's ankles at the end of the half of the WIU game, proceeded to miss the shot but Massner is one of the best defenders in the league so he definitely has the skills for that.

We gotta get Tajavis healthy for the stretch run, he's easily our best 3pt shooter so we need that outside threat out of these double teams and also if some teams turn to zone as the solution to try to stop Nelson & Morgan.

Best thing in this game, Andrew Morgan played 34 minutes and Streit only played 9. Morgan was absolutely dominant in this one and played hard and appears to have gotten out of Dave's doghouse. The minutes between the two had been almost a 50/50 split all season and it's been miserable because Streit poses 0 offensive threat. If Grant Nelson and Andrew Morgan can be on the floor for 30-35 minutes a game like they were for this one we are going to be significantly better for it.

Nice to see Morgan go 3-4 from the FT line also. Pretty incredible that a guy shooting 62% from the field on the season is only shooting 46% from the FT line on the season. Needs to get that number up to avoid the hack-a-Morgan strategy late in games or it's probably going to eat into his minutes.

Sorry, I worded that poorly, it wasn't the dunk I was referring to about not watching this year, it was everything after that. Fixed it.

Dave was screaming at morgan w 46 seconds left nose to nose. just looks stupid when he does that, especially when Morgan was having his best game ever

How are you going to juggle your time being mens bb coach and d coordinator for football?
