One Fargo radio station this morning was saying NDSU should be doing the $5 ticket thing based on what they'd heard about presales and I94 and I29 being closed.

The only way they could do that is if the school picked up the remainder of the cost since the NCAA dictates that you can't sell playoff tickets for less than the cheapest regular season single game tickets.

I think they're onto something with that idea....out of town fans who normally make the multi-hour trek to Fargo for games are going to be staying put and watching on TV. If we want the Dome packed tonight, discounted tickets is a viable solution.

Can't hurt to ask. Worst that can happen is they say no. This weather is a unique situation. They may have to be careful to not set a precedent for other exceptions. There is a guarantee as well, but I assume our current ticket sales is above that.

We should give the unused tickets to the Faux Hawkers football team so they can say they made it to a semifinal playoff game. You know, it’s Christmas time, it’d be nice to be a good big-brother around this time of season

Good News: I29 south of Fargo has gone from closed to no travel advised.

Bad News: The backside of the storm appears to be training moisture right down the Red and I29 north to south. That'll be the next battle to keep open.
