Bison vs Montana

7 PM tip tonight at the SHAC on ESPN+, the Bison welcome the 4-5 Griz to Fargo.

Montana is 2-0 against the Summit this year with a 78-59 win over St Thomas and 81-56 win over SDSU. Both games were in Missoula. Should be interesting to see if the Herd can build on their big win at Portland.

Assuming Grant Nelson does not play, fans will miss a matchup between Nelson and 6’ 10” Jr F Josh Bannon. Bannon averages 13.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game and was a Pre-Season All Big Sky pick.

A familiar name to Montana’s game - SG Aanen Moody from Dickinson (13.8 ppg) - played a year in El Forko Grande before transferring to Southern Utah for a couple seasons

Was born and raised in Dickinson, North Dakota... Parents, Kay and Dave Moody, coached volleyball together at Dickinson State... Dave is in the NAIA Hall of Fame after guiding the Blue Hawks to a 466-159 record and seven national tournaments, including a 2000 national title... Has an older brother, Nate, and an older sister, Ali... Nate won five national championships as a wide receiver for North Dakota State... Ali also attended NDSU, playing volleyball... Moody graduated from Southern Utah in August 2022 with a degree in health & exercise science... He and his wife, Gabby, have a son, Asher, and are expecting their second child.

Too many turnovers and sloppy offense down the stretch along with subpar defense doomed the Bison tonight. Seems like they should down by more than they are but the stripes have kept them in the game with super tight whistles going against Montana.
