One of the things about the portal that bothers me is something Bobby Hauk said. Because of the portal, teams are going from building a program to piecing together a team every year. That makes me feel bad about the state of college football.

Reed has been scout team player of the week several times. I can see why he wants to transfer and play in some games. That's quite a grind.

I always had high hopes he'd be the next Greg Menard type at DE but he's just finishing his 4th year in the program so it doesn't look like that'll come to fruition. This is probably a good move for both sides so he can get some more playing time elsewhere and NDSU can free up scholarship money with the super seniors who are sticking around and incoming freshmen class.

Reed will always be a Bison in my book just for ripping off Montana's cheap shot artist LT's helmet and handing it to him after the guy tried to end Spencer Waege's season/career with a pointless cheap shot: https://youtu.be/K500eNff778?t=7880

I was hopeful he would have had a great career but he's clearly buried on the depth chart. Some players reach their max potential in high school. I dont mean that in a negative way either. When you get beat out by local walk ons when you're in year 4... you aint good enough to play here. Most players arent
