    One thing I think folks dont understand is that the assistant coaches, especially at the FCS level, are on one year contracts. They arent guaranteed a spot on the staff come next year. As a player, while you need to earn your keep by doing what is expected of you and staying academically eligible, you are pretty much guaranteed a spot on the roster for next year...regardless of performance.
