Agree with above posters. A change in recruitment focus will occur. MN, Wisconsin, ND need to be recruited hard - especially Wisconsin.

I dont think its necessarily a change in focus but its more important than ever with the transfer portal. Statistically players who live in our traditional recruiting area are less likely to leave

1) closer to home
2) used to cold climate, less culture shock
3) In state kids often view us the same way as a Wisconsin kid views the Badgers

Florida and Georgia have given us some stud D Backs and skilled players but some of our best ever come from the Midwest. (Marcus, Shep, Allison). Even our current corners who played 4 years are from midwest states. (Talbert, Price)

If the choice was for myself to get a Raise at work or have the company upgrade the lunchroom, I'd take the Raise. I don't think that's a GEN thing.
