They are being compensated. Some don't think it's fair but that's like every job.

Going to school for free, and getting 5 grand for spending money. Unless you are the next coming, that pretty fair for 99%.

It also frees up scholarship money, coaches time, and practice reps to develop players that want to develop and earn it rather than just be given PT for showing up. A player transferring from the best program in FCS to an unknown D2 implies they either don't want to compete for PT or weren't going to play anyway.

It does suck when good productive players transfer up, but hard to hold it against them for doing what they feel is best for them.

A bit of news from Kalen DeBoer today: UW is going through NCAA waiver process to determine whether EDGE Zach Durfee will be eligible to play this season. Related to him enrolling at a four-year school (North Dakota State, not as FB player) prior to his time at Sioux Falls.

Marcus Sigle listed as the starter at Free Safety for Kansas State in their home opener against SEMO.

So several former Bison will be starting for FBS teams this season.
Now Chapo has the tough needle to thread - which choice will it be???
Choice #1 Recruiting under Entz is lousy or…
Choice #2 Pump up those FBS players with Bison connections…

    Classic chapo…

On December 10, 2018, Kansas State University Athletic Director Gene Taylor announced Klieman had been hired as the program's 35th head coach to replace the recently retired Bill Snyder.

Phoenix Sproles listed as 1st Team Slot Receiver (3 WR positions listed)
James Madison brought in one or two other transfer portal WR’s so will be interesting to see how Sproles does.
