I find it very interesting to see how the rules apply in uncommon scenarios.
It's OK to not be OK.

Never saw a video last week but here is this week's video. Amazing catch by Jacksonville State on the first play and probably a rule nuance most people didn't know.

I will be in Terre Haute tomorrow for the game if anyone plans to be there.

What do you think of the OSU fair catch on the onside kick ruling?

Seems like they’re going to have to update the language if that was correctly assessed or recovering an onside is going to be right next to impossible going forward.

That Jack's one was nuts! I did not see it when it happened. Just so I understand, if the Jack in the EZ had not touched it before it hit the ground, the ball would have been dead?

What if it hits the ball while still touching OOB (similar to the pylon)? It appears the player may have intentionally moved the marker to keep the ball from going OOB. No matter how much you do this you will still see something you've never seen or considered.

That play was nuts! I think you need to consider if officials equipment in my mind. I think that if a defensible position.

No kidding; just read about this. I suspect there was some nerdy coach who knows the rules. What fascinates me is how no one thought of this before?

Looks like the NFL fair catch rule is different and doesn't allow ground bounce. Seems like it's often these subtle differences between college and pro that get exploited.
