The running back room is so insanely deep its just silly. When your 4th string running back could start for mostly every fcs school, it's not fair.

As does our new announcer—which is more what I was getting at.

Nobody seemed to get that. Must have all went to the dome and watched in person.

The first two possessions of the first half the defense felt and looked flat. Til they stood up and forced the FG then blocked it. After that the 1s pretty much steamrolled the rest of the half.

Once we started putting in the twos and threes things got messy again though Cole and crew did get that late TD and looked relatively competent doing it.

Trey Lance he is not. But he's got fucking wheels and once they get him looking down field and the game slows down for him he has a lot of potential. Work to do to find it.

The 1s came in and made every mistake Drake made cost them hard and didn't let the game stay close once they woke up.

Next week will be better. The AZ game should be a blast.

Its week 1 in Coles 2nd year in the program. He is where Cam was week 1 last year of his developmental stage, except Cam started way too early as a Freshman out of necessity

He will get better and better as the year goes along

Speaking of Cam, outside of 1 play, he looked fucking great. That run that was called back he really showcased how his athleticism has improved. His command of the short passing game was impressive

I belive I tuned out around the 7th oh mama.

Not because of the announcing, but because it sounded like drake sucked after that.

Showed a little rust early. Definitely gives the coaches something to work on. Definitely got in the groove and the defense starting playing like expected. Special teams great other other then the kicking. The depth we have at a lot of positions will pay off later in the year. Looking forward to next week to see if we can handle the “southern speed”

Didn't listen to the game on the radio so I'll withhold my grade on Hipp until I hear more BUT I did trun the game on when I got into the car near the end of the third qtr(I know I know) and was confused for a few seconds why there was a national game on Bison 1660. Dude has a big time voice.

I listened to him a couple times last year when driving back from NDSU games. He is solid; he just needs to get his geography figured out and learn the program. I had a friend who listened to the entire game and was close to busting his radio due to all the mistakes....

Anyone else think the intro video music could’ve been louder? Could hardly hear Thunderstruck. First game kinks I suppose with some different people running things this season.

The late hit/"targeting" penalty against Drake... he thought it was against NDSU -- I was like WTF? Anyway, after that I switched over to the TV audio with Dom and Kyle... He has a good potential, but he needs some work.

It was fun hearing Dom on the ESPN+ broadcast!
