Default Twin Cities NIL Club (Gophers)

    Pretty simple outline:

Your minimum $199 member dues gives you access to:

    Player meet and Greet
Annual member only tailgate Party w/ Gopher players
    Access to players on-line content
    Other team content access

Proceeds will be split evenly between participating player. Just guessing that 75-90% of players might participate, the more lower profile folks. Higher profile might do their own thing.

Would be pretty easy to initiate anywhere, IMO. Easy model to duplicate here. Might provide some recruiting benefit.

    Your thoughts?

Throw in a sweet 90's Teammakers-style Snorty jacket and you can put me down for $1k

Get Hunter Luepke doing a Schmidt commercial and I'm down for $2k

I'm not kidding, either. If someone is interested in starting an NIL thing at NDSU hit me up

Yes, a club jacket would be awesome idea to add in, and would generate some members. What was the 1980’s thing? Sambo’s Athletic jacket, or something like that? Cool idea. Special access to players, once a year locker room pass. Road game access. Etc

Gopher players began offering 1000 Twin Cities Club passes in July, and sold out their 1000 objective.

    1000 passed x $200/pass (min) = $200,000
Spread over 95 players (their website indicated 95), proceeds of at least $2,105/player was generated.

You’d think NDSU could generate some similar revenue, or at least $100,000 if there was some descent swag in the membership.

Interesting how this thing that’s supposed to be about players getting paid independently for their name, image, and likeness so easily slips into “generating revenue” for the athletic department. It’s almost as if there isn’t any difference between NIL and a paycheck.

Not to mention all the people/businesses that will fund NIL in addition to TeamMakers. Nevermind that one is tax deductible...

The gophers NIL collective described here that might generate $2000/player for their involvement in fan interaction is better imo than some hot shot FR QB getting a million dollars to sign with Texas A&M before he walks in the door. I would guess the modest revenues described here would be more the norm.

Also interesting is all the people saying NIL was wonderful for college football/athletes.

Just a stepping stone on the path to actually getting paid for the work that they do.
