FBS OR BUST
Hey UND: 34-9...38-7...34-13...16-6...42-21
Man, that's a rookie number!! Need to get that thing down to the low 40's like GOD intended.

Arizona got a hefty bump from where they finished last year - Sagarin would only have them as a 1.5 point underdog to NDSU in Tucson whereas at the end of last year I'm pretty sure that number would've been 10+.
I'm too lazy to look and I'll know I'll get blasted because people ask every year, but I'll ask anyways. How does he make the transition from year to year? Montana State was right behind us before the championship game and now they're way down at like #116.
NDSU rank in each conference, average team rating of that conference:
MWC: 2nd, 85 avg team
SUNBELT: 2nd, 105 avg team
MVFC: 1st, 123 avg team (130 without NDSU)
FCS top 10: 1st, 105 avg team (113 without NDSU)
AAC: 4th, 77 avg team
MAC: 1st
CUSA: 1st
B1G 10th
Big 12: 9th
Pac 12: 10th
G5 top 10: 7th, Avg team 47
G5 Top 10
Boise. 26
Cincinnati 31
UCF 40
BYU 41
App State 45
Houston 47
Air Force 56
Toledo 57
Fresno 62
memphis 63
Red indicates teams leaving for P5 conferences soon
New G5 Top ten would have:
NDSU 3rd, average team rating of 58
BSU 26
App Stat 45
Air Force 56
Toledo 57
Fresno 62
memphis 63
SDSU 64
SMU 66
Louisiana 67
NIU 70
Now compare that to the FCS top 10 with an average team over 60 spots lower. Folks who think NDSU 'belongs' in FCS are not living in reality. and before you say 'wHaT aBoUt aN iNvItE?', I know that, I'm merely making a point that the observable reality shows that from a competitive, cultural, commitment and engagement perspective, NDSU belongs in G5- as far away from the FCS as is possible.. we have infinitely more in common with the G5 top 10 than the FCS top 10 and its not even close
This is why Entz says 'mid major football program' and not FCS

1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
I wouldn't mind being 2nd in MWC, 4th in AAC, 1st in MAC, I guess, 10th in B1G, 9th in Big XII. The real question is, where are we in ACC and SEC?
11th in SEC and 8th in ACC. Is that good or bad? Would we be ok with that if the crack ever was lit in the pipe and we were part of those as well?
