But nobody can be prepared for a normal cold winter up there. Friends of mine moved from Indiana to Crookston a couple years ago, and they LOVE the cold and snow. They are a little crazy.

It’s difficult for almost everyone to grasp. Cold Stone Creamery used to advertise their Anchorage location as the coldest Cold Stone. The North Dakota franchisee had to set them straight.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

Agreed that he has always seemed like a standup guy and there is no reason not to take everything he said in his goodbye statement at face value.

Good luck to Rob whatever he does next.

Not really a stopgap. Its not like he is leaving for a different job. Just moving back home to be closer to family.

Yeah sorry, it was just something I thought during the year. Not saying that’s what it actually was
