My favorite Rob Hipp bits were when Phil would be complaining about a bad call/non-call that ended up benefiting the Bison, and Rob was so used to homerism that he didn't understand what was going on. Anyway, I hope he lands a good gig in Texas - awesome voice and a lot of knowledge about Texas football.

My favorite was early in the season he shared a story about losing or breaking his glasses a few years back and how he never got new ones. He then proceeded to get 7 jersey numbers/players names wrong in a row.
Side note, I hope they do an eye test before the next hire

Hipp got hired a month before the season started and some people expected him to know what color underwear Bentrim wore. His first season was a stopgap and he did about as good as anyone could’ve done in his position.

I think he really hamstrung himself being afraid to misspeak or not live up to the culture.
