Problem is you can also go from an elite program to one in the dumps fairly quickly. While incredibly talented we are a very young team with all but 4 of the guys that will be on the floor getting their first taste of D1 ball this year. I talked to Dave the other day, he's pretty fired up about the group, lots of talent. He joked said he absolutely loves them now but jury is still out on his feelings on them on gameday We obviously have 2 easy W's as well as 2 very likely L's and I think realistically they can play the rest of that schedule at 6-4. Getting through the OOC at 8-6 would be a solid start, anything better than that I'd say is a big success for us.
Let Grant Nelson take over every game like sdsu like Mike Daum do.

When is the program going to realize the fans want decent mid-major games at home. Enough of the D3 and NAIA teams. I get the exhibition tune up game but outside of that these garbage teams do absolutly nothing other than layup wins for HC DR.

Correct, have a cupcake to start and end of OC games.

You answered your question with your last sentence. W's count toward incentive bonuses in his contract.

The problem with wanting D1 home OOC opponents is that so does every other D1 school. This is the first year in the last 3 seasons where the Summit League hasn't had some sort of scheduling setup with another conference to get a home and away game. Until the mid major conferences start to work together to set up OOC schedules it's going to continue to be a struggle to get quality OOC home games. We talk about this a lot on the Reaching the Summit Podcast site in articles and on the podcast itself. The Summit League should seek deals with the Big Sky, Horizon, MVC, etc to get a home and away game for each program on a rotating bases. You set one up with 3 different conferences you have 6 games already scheduled 3 home/3 away and by time you'd rotate through all the teams it'd be for 4-5 years.
