Both Heins and Tastad are from NDSU families. Nate’s dad played Oline in the 90’s for a couple of years until his shoulders gave out. AJ’s mom is a NDSU alum. Interestingly, Nate’s dad and AJ’s mom have Animal Science degrees. Cow College Power!

Sucks the refs had to get so involved but it was a hell of a game. New Salem wins 30-26. Ref made the game winning block, got hurt missed the showboating in the end zone because he was laying on the ground hurt. Collided with a cougar defender in pursuit.

Another 2024 name mentioned is 6’5” 280 lb junior Coy Okeson of Minot Ryan.
