Maybe because they will have 5-6 QBs on roster over the next two years with Peyton looking to be at the reins for a couple years after Miller. We brought in kids that aren't afraid of competition and want to prove themselves.

Bring in Guys that want to compete, and coaches see something in. Wentz had limited offers out of high school sat behind greatness and learned, Lance had offers to play on the other side of the ball not at QB. Stick was a legit stud but no one thought he would be the guy he turned out to be. I trust the development no need for divas.

gotta be the easiest sell in the world and entz roehl and the almighty hedberg can't talk a BIG QB RECRUIT into coming to NDSU for 3 years or so is NOT a good look. sorry facts.

But among the quarterbacks who did earn a start in their first two years, more than 60 percent still ended up transferring during their careers.

Why do we need a 3 Star or above recruits to just transfer out after 1 or 2 years. Turn them into stars. My $.02

Lance & Stick were Legit and Stick had that Big 10 Rutgers offer.

We were dam lucky with those 3. Our Run game/Defense helped the other QB's immensely.

It may be the easiest sell ever, but it like a truck load of ice in the Sahara, it seems like a good idea at the time until you realize you don't have any way to keep it. Unless they are going to come in and supplant the the current starter on day one, no 3 star QB is coming to ND to sit behind The incumbent for 3 years.....Unless....unless they are character guys that buy into the program, but then those aren't the type of guys you have to sell anything too. They see what you got and want to be part of it. Those who stay will be champions. It rings true for a reason. Yes, the Rings statement is a pun in case its over your head.

So what exactly would qualify as a BIG TIME QB RECRUIT? Does it need to be Trevor Lawrence/Bryce Young, or a 4-star top 10 QB in the class, or would a 3-star top 60 QB qualify?
