Again, its adapt or die...the transfer portal isnt going anywhere. If we're going to just pretend its not there and NDSU should only recruit local kids solely based on the assumption they'll be staying for 5 years then we in turn need to accept that we will not maintain relevancy.
Yes, NDSU is a developmental program and I do not think we need to totally abandon that. But to not be more active in the transfer portal so that we are able to plug and place guys is stubborn and closed minded.
