    Default 2022 Summit League Tournament

As has been the case with the entire 2022 Bison baseball season, change is the norm. Today's Summit League Tournament have been impacted by weather. Heavy rain in Tulsa has forced cancellation of today's first round games. The format and pairings will remain the same, but the Bison vs Omaha opener is now set for Thursday May 26th at 12:05 PM CDT.

The Summit League website now has today's NDSU vs Omaha game moved to a 3:05 CDT start time, with SDSU vs ORU to begin 45 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1. Midco Network carrying all games on TV plus live streaming on the Midco Sports app (behind a paywall, of course.)

Way to bounce back with a solid win over the bunnies. The win ends the jacks season too!

Do we want to face ORU in the elimination game and then have to beat Omaha twice on Sunday? In other words, does it make sense to beat the #2 team once (at home) to have to then beat the #4 team twice?

No you do not look past the next game whoever it may be. Just win

I’m not advocating the team “look past” anyone. It was more of a rooting guide question for the game between ORU and Omaha to make it more interesting.

The #1 seed Bison (31-18) will face #4 seed Omaha (25-39) in a loser out game at 4:05 CDT today in Tulsa. OK.
Projected starter for the Bison is Evan Sankey (5-3, 4,57 ERA), who last faced Omaha in the third game of the regular season series at Omaha. Evan went 6 2/3 scoreless innings while allowing 7 hits, striking out 4, and walking none in earning the win in the 2-0 contest.
The projected starter for the Mavericks is Charlie Bell (4-5, 3.76 EA), who was the Omaha starter in game 2 of the regular season series. Bell went 5 innings and allowed 1 run on 4 hits, striking out 3 and walking 1 to earn the win in the 10-2 blowout of the Bison.
The winner advances to face unbeaten Oral Roberts, needing to defeat the Golden Eagles twice for the Summit League Tournament championship and a berth in the Regionals.
