The game begins for the Bison with a 3-up 3-down inning vs Canes starter Carson Palmquist (6-3, 3.26 ERA). Miami, on the other hand, greets Bison starter Max Loven (6-3, 4.32 ERA) rudely, with the first six batters reaching base, loading the bases with 3 runs in before two batters are retired. Two more hits plate 3 more runs before the inning ends. Hurricanes 6, Bison 0 after one inning.

Another 1-2-3 inning for Palmquist in the second. Yikes!! A quick glance at the Miami line-up shows they are starting 1 Junior, 4 Sophomores, and 4 Freshman. An error on the Bison, a double, and a 3-run homerun makes this a 9-0 game with none out in the bottom of the second. Make that 11-0 on a pair of solo homers. Loven goes 1 and 1/3 innings and gives up 11 runs on 10 hits before he gives way to Wyatt Nelson (0-0, 4.64 ERA). Nelson stops the bleeding, and the inning ends at 11-0.

Cadyn Schwabe puts the Bison in the hit column with a lead-off triple in the third, but the next 3 Bison leave him stranded. Three singles, a walk, and a hit batsman yield 3 more for the 'Canes. 14-0 after 3.

That was bad. We had some non starters in the lineup. Heres to hoping we can steal one today or tomorrow.
