LAST TIME OUT
NDSU scored four runs in the third inning to earn the 10-0 win over Mayville State in the home opener on Tuesday night at Newman Outdoor Field. Peter Brookshaw and Calen Schwabe both went 2-of-3 at the plate with two runs and one RBI. Caden Edwards (1-0) earned the win tossing two strikeouts over 2.0 innings with no runs and one walk. Wyatt Nelson also fired a game-high five strikeouts over 2.0 innings.

SUMMIT LEAGUE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Max Loven was named Summit League Pitcher of the Week for the first time this season and third time in his career on Monday. Loven helped guide NDSU to an 8-3 win over South Dakota State last Friday. The left-handed pitcher tossed seven strikeouts over 7.0 innings with one walk and one run. It marked his seventh game this season with four or more strikeouts. The Brooklyn Park, Minn., native registered a 1.29 ERA and limited the Jackrabbits to a .200 batting average.

Loven is the third different NDSU pitcher to earn the accolade this season. Evan Sankey was named Pitcher of the Week Feb. 21 and Feb. 28, while Tristen Roehrich picked up the honor on March 21.

NCBWA STOPPER OF THE YEAR MIDSEASON WATCH LIST
Senior right-handed pitcher Jake Drew and junior right-handed pitcher Tristen Roehrich have been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List. NDSU is one of only four schools in the nation with multiple players selected joining Michigan, Arizona and UCLA.

Drew has made 13 appearances on the mound this season with a 2-0 overall record. He boasts a 0.00 ERA over 14.2 innings pitched. The Alexandria, Minn., native has notched a career-high six saves this season, which is tied for ninth on the NDSU all-time single-season list. Drew also hasn't allowed a hit in his last five appearances on the mound.

Roehrich has made 11 appearances this season with a 4-1 overall record. He has registered a 2.19 ERA over 37.0 innings. The West Fargo, N.D., native has fired 41 total strikeouts and has limited opponents to .207 batting average. Roehrich, who was named Summit League Pitcher of the Week on March 21, has also contributed a career-high five saves this season.

BACK TO THE SUNSHINE STATE
NDSU travels back to the state of Florida for the second time this season after a weeklong trip back in March. The Bison assembled a 6-2 overall record on the road swing. Calen Schwabe paced NDSU with a team-best .529 batting average.

FACING TOP FIVE OPPONENTS
Miami is positioned No. 5 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll. The Hurricanes will be the highest ranked opponent NDSU has faced in the regular season since 2012. NDSU traveled to then-ranked No. 5 Arizona in 2012 for a three-game series and won game two, 8-2. The Bison also faced then-ranked No. 2 Oregon State in the 2014 NCAA Regional in Corvallis, Ore.

HITTING THE LONG BALL
The Bison have connected on 40 home runs, which ranks tied for first in the Summit League and tied for eighth on the NDSU single-season list. Logan Williams is tied for first in the conference with 10 home runs, while Peter Brookshaw ranks tied for ninth and has launched a career-high six this season.

LIGHTS OUT
The Bison pitching staff has earned 14 saves this season, which ranks third on the NDSU all-time single-season list. Four different pitchers have contributed at least one save this season. Last season, NDSU set a program record with 27 total saves.

BY THE NUMBERS
NDSU is slotted second in the Summit League and 18th in the nation in shutouts with four. The Bison pitching staff boasts a 3.89 ERA this season, which leads the Summit League and ranks 22nd in the nation. The Bison also pace the conference and are positioned 24th in the country in sacrifice bunts with 27.

LOVEN CLIMBS THE RANKS
Max Loven has made 11 appearances on the bump this season and boasts a 6-3 overall record. He has fired 48 total strikeouts to increase his career total to 192, which positions him tied for fifth place on the all-time NDSU strikeout list. Loven has also totaled 235 innings pitched and is slotted in fifth place on the NDSU all-time innings pitched list. He's one of only nine players in program history to pitch in 200 innings or more.

SCOUTING MIAMI
Miami enters the week with a 32-12 (17-7 ACC) overall record, including a 22-6 mark at home this season. The Hurricanes begin the week ranked in multiple national polls: No. 5 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, No. 6 in Baseball America, No. 6 in Perfect Game, No. 6 in D1 Baseball, No. 7 in NCBWA and No. 9 in Collegiate Baseball.

The Hurricanes are 1-4 over their last five games and most recently rolled past Georgia Tech on the road, 13-2. Yohandy Morales went 4-of-5 at the plate with two runs and one RBI. Alejandro Rosario also tossed six strikeouts over 5.0 innings.
