Was figuring the tie breaker scenarios for the SL tourney #2 seed so figured I might as well start this thread and piggyback that into the game chatter.
SDSU did a favor for the Bison tonight knocking off ORU... the Bison need them to do it again on Saturday since KC holds the tie breaker over the Bison for the #2 seed. Here's the scenarios as far as I can tell between KC, NDSU, and ORU (who are all currently tied at 12-5 for 2nd place in the conference and are all 2-2 vs each other):
If all 3 win: #2 KC, #3 NDSU, #4 ORU (by virtue of KC beating #1 SDSU who swept both NDSU and ORU)
If KC and NDSU win: #2 KC, #3 NDSU, #4 ORU (by virtue of KC's sweep of NDSU)
If NDSU and ORU win: #2 NDSU, #3 ORU, #4 KC (by virtue of NDSU's sweep of ORU)
If KC and ORU win: #2 ORU, #3 KC, #4 NDSU (by virtue of ORU's sweep of KC)
If all 3 lose: #2 KC, #3 NDSU, #4 ORU (by virtue of KC and NDSU both being 2-0 vs USD compared to ORU being 1-1 and KC wins head-to-head over NDSU)
Obviously if only one of them wins they're the #2 seed. So KC is in the driver's seat but they have the toughest matchup vs SDSU. So we gotta root for the dirty Jackrabbits again on Saturday and hope the Bison don't fall asleep in Grand Forks.
