When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.

It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

Their stud DT was khalen Saunders. Drafted by the Chiefs.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

This is the winner. The Grambling team from the year before had a bunch of NFLers too.

I don't get to many Bison games, but I was at that one and remember walking around at halftime thinking that NDSU had finally figured some things out and would probably roll in the second half against Emporia's defense. Wrong. Pretty interesting game. NDSU had a successful onside kick but missed on two two-point conversions (the final was 21-23 so, yeah, that was a big deal.)

NDSU has lost three home openers in the last 50+ seasons: Grand Valley State in 1991 and Ferris State in 1998. Northern Michigan in 1980 was the other one.

You could probably throw Terrance West from Towson on that list.
The weather in Fargo keeps the undesirables out.....

Brian Kelly has been to Fargo? I'm surprised.

May need another thread for best opposing coaches to coach a game in Fargo as well.

K: Adam Viniateri (SDSU), Jan Stenerud (Montana State), Errol Mann (UND)

Marching Band: Grambling - they performed at Super Bowl I.

Note: I ran out of time before I could finish a first draft - I couldn't find an "all-time all-NCC team" anywhere either (just as well, I'd probably not be happy that Jeff Bentrim and Chris Simdorn were honorable mentions or something.)

The best team NDSU faced might be the San Diego State team that beat NDSU 36-0 in 1966. They had FIVE players drafted in the first two rounds of the draft.
Am I allowed to comment on this no or nah? last time I made comment about the quality of Bands in the FCS I got banned for 2 weeks.

Its JSU Marching southerners by a country mile. For real. The 'pros' of Marching band is Drum Corps International, and the southerners have at least 50-75 'pros' in that group. I would venture to guess that the NDSU band has maybe.... 0-3? Deleware.... 10ish? JMU with 10-30 maybe? JSU band is on another level. Im sure ETSU has a handful, but Its JSU and only JSU
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS
