    Default All-Time, All-Opponent Team

    My nominations:

QB: Ken O'Brien (UC Davis), Don Horn (San Diego State), Rhett Bomar (SHSU), Tre Roberson (Illinois State), Chris Steveler (South Dakota)
RB: James Robinson (Illinois State), David Johnson (Northern Iowa), Ronald Moore (Pittsburg State), Eric Breitenstein (Wofford), Taiwan Jones (EWU), Zach Zenner (SDSU), Herb Donaldson (Western Illinois), Shakir Bell (Indiana State), Brian Shay (Emporia State), Khalid Abdullah (JMU)
FB: Henry Dyer (Grambling), Pete Retzlaff (South Dakota State), Dave Osborne (UND)
TE: George Kittle (Iowa), Dallas Goedert (SDSU), Jim Kleinsasser (UND), Matt Spaeth (Minnesota)
WR: Cooper Kupp (EWU), Vincent Jackson (Northern Colorado), Tyler Lockett (Kansas State), Antonio Brown (Central Michigan), Allan Lazard (Iowa State), Ramses Barden (Cal Poly - SLO), Eric Decker (Minnesota), Haven Moses (San Diego State), Ernie Wheelwright (Minnesota)
OL: Frank Cornish (Grambling), Willie Young (Grambling), Adam Timmerman (SDSU), Jim Langer (SDSU), Spencer Brown (UNI), Trevor Penning (UNI), Tom Compton (South Dakota)

DE: Aaron Smith (Northern Colorado), Ordell Braase (South Dakota), Shelby Harris (Illinois State), Elerson Smith (UNI)
DT: Frank Cornish (Grambling), Kkalen Saunders (Western Illinois), John Ridgeway (Illinois State), PJ Hall (Sam Houston), Xavier Williams (UNI)
LB: Tory Reeder (Delaware), Jim LeClair (UND), Josey Jewell (Iowa), L.J. Fort (UNI), Jake Farley (UNI), Darius Taylor (Sam Houston)
CB: Bob Howard (San Diego State), Luther Kirk (ISU-Red), Makinton Dorleant (UNI), Deiondre' Hall (UNI), Tom Kilfoy (UNI)
S: Jeremy Chinn (SIU), Caleb Schaffitzel (Missouri State), Desmond King (Iowa), Nasir Adderley (Delaware), Dominique Barber (Minnesota)

K: Adam Viniateri (SDSU), Jan Stenerud (Montana State), Errol Mann (UND)

Marching Band: Grambling - they performed at Super Bowl I.

Note: I ran out of time before I could finish a first draft - I couldn't find an "all-time all-NCC team" anywhere either (just as well, I'd probably not be happy that Jeff Bentrim and Chris Simdorn were honorable mentions or something.)

The best team NDSU faced might be the San Diego State team that beat NDSU 36-0 in 1966. They had FIVE players drafted in the first two rounds of the draft.

Antonio Brown, yes, but I don't think I'd put JJ Watt on there because he didn't start and was a non-factor at TE in Central Michigan's beat down.

Random fun fact about the Iowa TEs in 2016. Kittle was their starter, Noah Fant had 9 receptions in 6 games, and TJ Hockenson redshirted.

That's an insane level of TE Talent on one college roster.

What’s awesome about that list is that we dominated that opposing all star team. At corner Iowas Desmond King, UNI had a corner that played pro ball and Illinois state had a safety that I think starts in nfl. Also Ill st TE oshaunessy playing pro ball

Ahhh, Drew "Swimming with the Sharks" Ruggles. Love that guy.

Drew Ruggles = also a porn name. Probably midget porn.
    Insert something clever here...

So I always wonder . . . is this list based on how good they were when NDSU played them, or the fact that they were good NFL players? It is both? Some of these guys didn't do squat vs. NDSU, but made it to the the NFL. Some where great against NDSU but didn't do much after that.

Did Penning and Compton destroy NDSU? No, they were pretty quiet.
Ramses Barden on the other hand wrecked NDSU, while Eric Decker didn't do squat except throw for one, while Vinny Jackson was a beast.
Tiawan Jones killed us, while Zenner was ground down to a unit of measure.

    Some criteria would be good.

Good example of good play/bad play from the list::::

In the 2007 MN game, Dominique Barber was able to chase down T. Roehl making a touchdown saving tackle.
But, when the Bison were trying to kill the clock late in the 4th up by 6, the drive stalled. It was Barber who was flagged for roughing the punter allowing the Bison to go into victory formation.
