That poor MSU fan shown at the game with the made up Bobcat helmet. He will be a meme forever. I did like the MSU "Party like its 1984" shirts though! In December 1984, damn I was just out of Lafayette College since May (finally landed a job in early Dec 1984, not to start until Jan. 1985. Hiring was for experienced folk laid off in early 80s recesion, deepest at that point since Great Depression, before hiring newbie college grads), they didnt really have widespread cable so couldnt watch game on TV, championship in mid Dec as only 16 teams back then to qualify, its was called 1-AA, and Reagan just re elected to second term a month earlier in a true landslide over Walter Mondale of your neighboring Minnesota.

Not that there isn't getting to be some validity to being even further step lower than FBS. But some of comments on Ben Leber's congratulations are absurd even more so if these guys are gopher fans lol. Bet they think they can beat us now...

Leber has always been very complimentary of NDSU. Think he knows fairly well the history as he grew up by vermilion and his brother played for USD I think he said once or twice on power trip.
