I am sure that is why fans of the South Dakota schools love it, not like they have any football ambition.

Sadly some of our own fans are completely blinded by nostalgia and some bizarre fixation on playing for watered down national championships in Frisco, Texas.

"Blinded" is a good word. Were they like this back in 2004?

It’s baffling. I just assume they aren’t really NDSU fans, but it seems they just can’t deal with any kind of change. One called into 1660 today. Culhane goes on a long explanation about how NDSU is the only FCS ready to move up, and it’s like the caller didn’t hear it a word of it, since he concludes his call with a statement about how ML is going to take the whole MVFC up as a unit. So completely off base on so many levels, it’s just bizarre.

Why do people keep repeating that same lame dead talking point, over and over again? There are literally millions of reasons it will never happen. You can pick anyone of them and be done with it.

NDSU wouldn’t want that anyways. Shooting yourself in the foot recruiting-wise. I sure hope Cook has some ambition on this front ... bolded for truth. I'll let you guys do the math.

Southern Illinois is going balls deep in the portal bringing in a whopping 20 transfers. Bobby P at Missouri St taking it fairly easy with 7 as is the stache at Illinois St with only 6. NDSU and SDSU among the roughly 25% of FCS schools who haven't reeled in a transfer yet (Montana St with 1).

Illinois State: None (Kind of a surprise)
Indiana State: T Jalen Booth - Tampa Bay Bandits
Missouri State: LB Angelo Garbutt - New Jersey Generals
North Dakota: None (No surprise at all)
Northern Iowa: OL Jackson Scott Brown - Philadelphia Stars, DE Seth Thomas- Birmingham Stallions
Southern Illinois: None
South Dakota: CB Tyson Graham Jr - Pittsburg Maulers,
South Dakota State: RB Mikey Daniel - Pittsburg Maulers

Take out NDSU/SDSU and it drops to 5. You'd have to do a multi-year composite to get something clear

Northern Iowa WR Isaiah Weston goes undrafted, signs as udfa with Cleveland.
Was kinda hoping Vikings would get him in 7th round, but they drafted a big TE to compete with Ben Ellefson instead.
