North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle, August 30th, 2013
Some pretty good leverage in those matches.
C'mon Minnesota - step up.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles"
When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

How does the NDSU endowment compare with others? I did a quick search (didn't look too hard) but it only showed the really big ones (Harvard, etc.)

Much bigger than the rest of the Valley schools besides UND. Last year it jumped like 20%, although I think a lot of endowments did well last year. I think the gap between us and UND is getting a lot smaller. I thought we overtook them but it looks like theirs went up considerably as well.
Ours is $325M, UND's is $366. They used to be double ours, I would guess as the In Our Hands campaign shakes out that NDSU will be more largely endowed than UND. Most of the other major FCS schools (SD's, Montanas, etc.) are around $200M.
Some of the matching contribution challenges are based on the number of gifts so even a small donation can trigger the match. Currently over $782k raised with 12 hours to go.

It's OK to not be OK.
How much do I need to donate for Matt Larsen to give a honest comment on FCS v FBS?
And how much more would I need to donate for FCS4Ever crowd to allow me to comment on how bad the FCS is without being told I'm a bad human being and father?
the first one is 100% honest
The second is only 75% purple
1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
