Default Fcs teams moving up - are they playoff eligible?

Yes my 3rd Thread of the day. I must have lots on my mind.

This is an inquiry here, can someone tell me whats the ruling on JMU, SHSU, & Jackson St. moving up to FBS Divisions, can they participate in this years playoffs?

    I ask for feedback.

    Thanks fello Herd Fans...

I believe this year yes and starting next year no. It's also Jacksonville State that is transitioning, not the fighting Deion's of Jackson State. Not that it matters because the Gamecocks aren't going to the playoffs anyway.

Same situation with Georgia Southern in 2012. They had already accepted a Sunbelt invitation during the season and knew that was their last FCS playoff appearance. A lot of GSU fans wearing "One More Time" shirts.

It matters because I sure would like NDSU to put another beat down on Jacksonville State.

    Ok got it. Thanks.
Yes actually I would prefer to put SHSU back in its place this January, but I'll take whoever IF we can get there.

Love this time of the year as the playoffs are coming into focus and each game matters for playoff bracketology....
    Thanks Tony.

Good catch, that is what I meant Jacksonville state.
    Thanks for the feedback.

Gotta lock up the conference championship by beating the feathers off the Penguins because that's the team's first goal (I suspect.)

It would be awesome to play JMU and Sam Houston in the playoffs and give both of them the same send off we gave Georgia Southern.
