People are free to do with their money as they please, but this also smells a little bit like a "Dear Chuck" scenario from our friends up north. That being said, the athletes need to also understand they are an entertainment source for the fans and should probably keep that in mind.
The troubling thing to me (as I love NDSU athletics) is that the more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that it gets harder and harder to justify the place of athletics in the broader mission of a University.
The weather in Fargo keeps the undesirables out.....
