Defensive Back transfer from Eastern Michigan. After losing out in Culp, I think most were assuming we would bring in another cornerback for competition.

I don't know. Bridges, Allison, and Hayes were all very good players.

They've been solid, but we've lacked the nastiness CJ gave as a true shutdown corner against anyone. And Champion as a number 2? Man, those were the days of defense.

Depth has been weak for sure but we've had good starters. Last year we did not

I wouldn't say Jordan Champion and CJ6 were good, they were okay. CJ was called for pass interference at least 4 times every game against the bunnies. He just could not cover Jake Wieneke.

Marcus Williams and Andre Martin Jr, now they were the best we have seen in the recent era. Back in the day, I used to run into Andre Martin in Walmart often. He was unbelievably ripped.

CJ made the eagles roster didn't he?? Better than good. Champion was a slot corner who we played outside. He was alright. First pick in the championship game his senior year I believe.
