Why?

• 2025 is coming and a new contract for CFB (FBS) is coming. A little of somethin' is still more than a big bag of nothin'..
• FCS just bled SHSU, JMU, and J-State (and maybe soon another as C-USA looks for 'eight'). The pattern that happened to DII (top moving up) is happening to FCS and some of us won't be fooled again.
• The seven I mentioned before (UND, NDSU, USD, SDSU, UMt, MtSU, Idaho) look like at least the MAC.

SoCon would seem to be a target for that footprint the C-USA is already pulling in two FCS (SHSU, J-State). Frankly I could see any SoCon public getting a C-USA look. (I don't see the SoCon private schools breaking ranks.)

The MWC and the Big XII and the PAC-12 will almost assuredly never take an FCS move up. Someone has to build the platform for a western G5 (like the MAC in the east).

I recognize teams/schools who have earned the right to move up. The balance should be playing on Tuesday nights in front of 500 fans. You do the math.
