If a player comes back for his "covid" year, it doesn't count towards the scholarship limit. So simply having more scholarships doesn't make a difference. I talked to a couple of seniors last Friday, and both said they were graduating next month and moving on with their lives.

I didn't know that, thanks for the clarification. So we could in theory be an FBS team for 1 year?

I would assume most of them are probably content to enter the workforce.

Sure right along with everyone else. Except for all the FBS teams with 100 scholarships all of a sudden.

Right. Can’t imagine why they’d want to do something like that.

About 5 years ago a three year starter at ND graduated a year early and didn't come back lol. Went to go work for the FBI or something goofy like that.

I was pissed for a solid 3 min.

Didn't Watson imply in an interview early in the year or in fall ball that this was his last year? Thought I remember him saying something like wanting to make his last year of college football a good one.....

If he gets invited to the Senior Bowl, then I don’t see any reason for him not to declare. I think his hands have been much better this year personally, which is probably the biggest concern for him thus far.

I could see Jasir and Phoenix coming back. Jasir is really coming into his own and Phoenix lost a lot of time due to injury. I can also understand why many would move on.
