Lol…I edited my post after you captured the original. Anyway… sorry for missing any nuance in your previous post.
I don't care what Jim says. That is not the real Ben Franklin. I'm 99% certain.

Go ahead and send them my way. Any time during the “ongoing talks for some time” would be fine. Thanks
Not sure what qualifies as "some time", but these are Chris Vannini articles from the last 2 months:
    Sep 15 https://theathletic.com/2826426/2021...he-group-of-5/
    Sep 16 https://theathletic.com/2828491/2021...more-g5-drive/
    Oct 21 https://theathletic.com/2902904/2021...n-may-be-next/

There were also a number of articles in Virginia newspapers who chronicled it and had quotes from JMU leaders saying they were investigating it going back to August.

Oct 20th was when the story broke that they were going. So that wasn’t before they went. Can’t get past The Athletic paywall so not sure if there’s a summary available.

If we’re going to count “Could JMU Be Next?” articles, then surely we can count McFeely’s multiple podcasts and columns dedicated to the subject of NDSU going up. Dating back to last year.

From the 15 Sep Athletic article when they start talking about JMU:
"The Dukes are finally looking to move up to the FBS, and sources at the school say they have engaged with multiple FBS conferences."

So one article saying they’d talked to conferences? About a month before they were offered to apply?

Think of how great that travel will be! Maybe we could play a couple high school teams while we’re at it! Brookings is so far, maybe we could swap SDSU out with Fargo South?
