I think they will finish with 7 wins and being a valley team and the CAA being softer than the big fluffy this year they will be in.

Someone finally asked Entz about our predictive Offensive play calling in the presser today. He said, he's happy with the offense and anyone is questioning winners that they probably aren't winners themselves.

Says the guy who lost in the semi-finals last year because of predictive playcalling.

It's a model that can and will be highly successful in the MVFC. We've lived for many years with coaches that hoped to build a program in a similar model to the Dakota schools. It doesn't work in a state like Missouri which is recruited over extensively at all levels. It's hard to find that hidden gem out there. You end up with a bunch of kids from CBC, DeSmet, Chaminade, Staley, Platte County, Lamar, and Webb City that were passed over by G5 schools and you are fighting with the Pitt States and Northwest Missouris to try and get them. That is no longer the case. We are loading up on men who have played at places like the Rose Bowl, The Coliseum, Autzen Stadium, Jordan Hare, War Memorial Stadium, etc. Guys who played at P5 or G5 schools and it just didn't work out. You combine that with a great coaching staff with extensive experience in the ACC, SEC, and also the NFL and you have something special. This has all come together quicker than anticipated, winning the conference in year one was more than we envisioned.

NDSU has amazing support and culture, but athletes and playmakers beat culture every time. Jason Browne at Independence CC said something like that on Last Chance U. We're still building the community and even institutional support, but we have the ballplayers now. Homefield advantage counts for quite a bit on Saturday and this particular NDSU team is the best team in this conference in my opinion but it's no longer a matter of if. It's when. I expect to make the playoffs and make some noise.

It's a really tired excuse that you can't recruit like the Dakota schools because you're in Missouri/Texas/Florida/etc.

    Jabril Cox
    Jasir Cox
    Darrius Shepherd
    Adam Cofield
    Jalen Sundell
    Javier Derrit

All recruited out of high school to NDSU from Missouri and all difference makers... two of them became NFL players. You're right that transfers are necessary and some schools can rely on them more than others but to use it as your foundation isn't sustainable. It's also laughable you quote Jason Brown... if he and Bobby P have similar coaching philosophies and methods you won't be making any deep playoff runs anytime soon.

Yes, this model has been proven to be very successful in the MVFC. NDSU has been struggling to beat teams using the P5 dropout route for the past 10 years. All the best teams in the conference have been doing it, truly frustrating that NDSU and SDSU can't get seem to get over the hump. Oh well, maybe someday winning with HS recruits will happen?

Lol a microwave cooks faster than an oven, but there's a lot more to cooking than heating shit up

What an absolutely false and prideful thing to say. That is a mind set that can’t/won’t learn and grow very much that would say something like that.

Disappointing he'd say that. 1) The reasons you said 2) It's petty and unbecoming 3) Makes him sound like an idiot

Sounds like a response Bo Pelini would make

Wasn't sure it was possible but I now have even less confidence in them being able to put together a competent offensive game plan when they don't have the talent advantage at almost every position.
