At first I read this as Westlake Village, GA which makes sense seeing as how NDSU has been getting down there a lot. But California? NDSU doesn't get down to California very often. I wonder how* NDSU found him.

Must've been a late bloomer. Up until a month ago or so he had a handful of D2 offers (had an invite to a game at Minot St it appears so maybe there's some ND connection???) and then in October he was offered by Nicholls followed by Sam Houston and Maine.

I am gullible to the point that some of my relatives still don't think I should be allowed outside without supervision, but there were a couple of other things that seemed off which I won't go into at this time.

So many of these coaches and administrators know each other. It's very possible that someone out there knows a coach at Minot State and told him about a recruit they didn't have space for, but maybe could be a fit at MSU.

I do know that's how Taylor Braun ended up at NDSU. Saul had a good friend on the Oregon staff who called him about this kid that was his but not quite PAC 12 good, or Oregon didn't have space. He may have had a cousin in Jamestown, too, but that was how the initial connection was made.

That's one of the reasons I'm confident there have been conversations between ML and the different conference commissioners.
