McDonald said he did not attend many football camps this summer because of his lacrosse schedule. He said he is hearing the most from Kansas, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois. North Dakota State, Army, and Akron.

Will he make it to Fargo this weekend? Has been busy! Was in Philadelphia last week for a track meet. This week at Brookings for the Jackrabbits camp. At the New Balance Outdoor Nationals threw 168’ 6” in the discus and 166 10” in the javelin. Was the ND State Champ in the discus (170’ 7”) and 2nd in the javelin.

QB Chance Wilson commits to Montana State over NDSU, Tulsa and New Mexico State offers.

Bobcat QB & returning starter Tommy Mellott will be a sophomore this season and a junior next year when Wilson arrives. Potentially Wilson would be a Redshirt FR when Mellott is a senior.

Oliver Lucht from Davies committed. I admit I am sometimes unfairly dismissive about local players but this kid looks so good on film. Quick, strong tackler and he sheds blocks like a man. 6-1 or 6-2, probably a linebacker or safety. But he has some good skills on offense too. Lots of D2 offers plus St Thomas but he looks D1 to me.
