Since 247 is the Recruiting Service that is most active covering NDSU’s traditional recruiting footprint, I found this interesting:

Of 247’s All-Time ratings for NDSU (only going back approx 10 years)
future Bison DB Jailen Duffie checks in at #8 on the All-Time List.

The other three 3 Stars 247 has for NDSU in this year’s class -
    DB Josh Hendricks - 83
    OT Beau Johnson - 83
RB Charmar “Marty” Brown - 82
Will all be included in NDSU’s Top 20 List of All-Time,
if their rating holds up through the end of recruiting for this class.

    In addition to those 4, 10 more of NDSU’s Top 20 All-Time 247 rated
recruits will be on next year’s team, including the Top 6.
#21 is DT Javier Derritt. CB Courtney Eubanks is also Top 20, but of course lost to the Transfer Portal.

It could be a combo of both. We were forced to play some guys who weren-t physically ready and were inexperienced. I always thought the goal was to let them play fast

We've gotten in the way before, weather its the Eastern Washington game in 2015 where we rushed 3 the whole game or UIW where we didnt rush and tried to keep the QB in the pocket

Also from this year’s recruiting class are two of the Transfer Portal
commits - both FBS - both being ranked Three Stars by 247.
    Hunter Zenzen - .8356 - DE/LB From Iowa State
Marcus Sheppard - .8059 - CB from Bowling Green

I would guess there are not many years for NDSU to have 6 Three Star rated recruits. It would be nice to see 4-5 of these prospects play up to that rating……

The other two Transfer Portal recruits were not listed/rated, as of now.
(IOL Isaac Zatechka - LB Marcus Gulley)

On the outgoing side of the equation, Marques Sigle received a Three Star - .88 - after signing with KState and Dom Gonnella received One Star - .6996 - after signing with South Florida.

One more impression would be an active 247 Correspondant may be able to lobby for a higher rating for their team’s prospects. While I don’t know for sure that is the case, by coincidence after Devin Clark decommited from NDSU he was still unranked/unrated. After signing with Virginia - voila’ - he is now a Three Star - 87 rated. Would have enjoyed seeing him get to Fargo from Georgia, 6’ 2” 190 DB/WR with that sprinter speed are nice to have!

Rating systems are based on who is recruiting you and sometimes the camps you attend. They are indicators, but don't read too much into them. I've been on the field with many 3 4 and 5 star athletes in high school. Sometimes they seem better than the 0 and 1 star players. David Bell now with the Browns and Karlaftis with the Chiefs were 2 of the best. They stood out in a big way.

He's only getting offers from D2 because he's D2 sized for a guard. If he says he's 6-2, he'a probably 6-0. We've never had a starter that small

WTF are we now recruiting little guys so we can be called "The Lambs?"

Isaac Bunker is 6’4”, whom we offered in April and went to Navy (2nd place podium here)… they don’t look that much different in height.
