Affording a new stadium will get incredibly harder if it MUST be indoor. I don't see ANY scenario at all where that can happen. To me, it is laughable to even suggest it. There are certainly downsides to an outdoor venue but the upsides are much greater to giving up the notion of perfect comfort year round. Even an outdoor stadium with construction costs the way that they are will be $300M at a minimum.
As someone else pointed out, you can't look at the cost of ANYTHING older than 5 years to do a cost comparison.
Insert something clever here...
Wasn't there a rendering of a convention center attached to the west side with one or two rows of suites (skyboxes?) above the top row of seats in the current configuration?
It's OK to not be OK.
Blue Seats, 30 year old red cloth seats with shit stains on it, not enough bathroom space, absolutely no luxury options or entertainment/club options, way too few seats, outdated press boxes, concourses way too small, dining options are easily worse than hardees.
i mean besides THOSE things, its basically US Bank Stadium
1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
