I noticed there is no mention of why NDSU has not played at Alerus since 2003. Weird, ..I have this memory of UND discontinuing the series, kinda a whiny little brother moment, of which they had quite a few…

But I do admire Bubba for paying the price to get the series restarted *, knowing how naughty El Forko Grande had been through the whole D1 process NDSU went through - from the late 1990’s on.

* 2 FargoDome games with no guarantee the Bison would go to Alerus (UND being in the Big Sky Conference at the time.

That led to one of my favorite NDSU memories against the school from up north - the total dominance of the Bison in the 1st game in 2015. UND had 3, yes 3 first downs the entire game, 4 yards rushing on 26 attempts, 61 yards Total Offense!

It seemed like all the UND people watching realized what they had avoided by backing out of the annual series after the 2003 game……
