TV: The statewide ABC network of WDAY (Fargo), WDAZ (Grand Forks), KBMY (Bismarck/Dickinson) and KMCY (Minot/Williston) will have live coverage beginning at 2 p.m. with Dom Izzo calling the play-by-play, Kyle Emanuel as color analyst, and Logan Campbell and Zach Staton reporting. Midco Sports will carry the UND telecast, which will be available to ESPN+ subscribers on ESPN.com and the ESPN app.
RADIO: Coverage begins at 1 p.m. CT on the Peterson Farms Seed Bison Radio Network including 107.9 The Fox in Fargo with Jeff Culhane (play-by-play), Phil Hansen (analyst) and Cole Jirik (sideline). Extended coverage locally on Bison 1660 and 92.7 FM includes "Bison Tailgate" from 10:00-11:00, "Bison Game Day" from 11:00-1:00 and the "Bison Hotline" call-in show following the network broadcast.

A showdown 18 years in the making; No . 10 North Dakota and rival No . 5 North Dakota State will meet on Saturday, Oct . 2 in Grand Forks for the first time since 2003 to open Missouri Valley Football Conference play .

I noticed there is no mention of why NDSU has not played at Alerus since 2003. Weird, ..I have this memory of UND discontinuing the series, kinda a whiny little brother moment, of which they had quite a few…

But I do admire Bubba for paying the price to get the series restarted *, knowing how naughty El Forko Grande had been through the whole D1 process NDSU went through - from the late 1990’s on.

* 2 FargoDome games with no guarantee the Bison would go to Alerus (UND being in the Big Sky Conference at the time.

That led to one of my favorite NDSU memories against the school from up north - the total dominance of the Bison in the 1st game in 2015. UND had 3, yes 3 first downs the entire game, 4 yards rushing on 26 attempts, 61 yards Total Offense!

It seemed like all the UND people watching realized what they had avoided by backing out of the annual series after the 2003 game……
