Watching K State now vs NC State. I think announcers said they went to 3-3-5 defense recently. Good for them for being adaptable. I actually think the Bison Tampa 2 may need some modernization. I was impressed how Montana could bring pressure from so many angles.

3-3-5 is a good package but a terrible base and easy to run on if you actually stick to the run, particularly up the middle. It's awesome vs a short passing attack. D Cordinators will figure out the gimmick D

Tampa 2 is elite if you can get pressure without blitzing. Takes away the big plays. On obvious pass downs you go nickel or dime

Klanderman was the acting OC last night. Pretty much an audition to replace Colin Klein on a permanent basis.

I still can't decide if he passed the audition. Hard to determine with a true freshman making his first start and missing Brooks, and Sennott.

My guess is he did enough to be named the permanent OC.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

    Conor Riley, not Klanderman.

    Oops, my bad. Yes, Riley.
    Got my coordinators mixed up.
