The Southern Scuffle kicks off Jan 1st and NDSU has 13 guys listed on Flo. So far all 10 starters (Henningson and Sax included) plus Caliendo, Habisch, and Nelson

Looks like Mikey Caliendo is actually competing in the MatMen Open as the #9 seed. Tournament starts today

Caliendo loses his first round match 3-2 to WrestleStat's #33 ranked wrestler, Lucas Revano of Penn, 3-2. Caliendo looked sluggish and couldn't get to his offense.

Caliendo loses to the Rutgers starter 5-3 and goes 0-2 to end the tournament. He faced quality competition, but didn't wrestle well. Just a general lack of urgency and aggression today.

Sam Stuhl wins the Citrus Invitational in Florida for Augsburg. Good to see him having success already.

Congrats Sam for beating the number 3 ranked D3 kid and winning that invite. You are definably in a better situation. Good job young man.

Southern Scuffle starts tomorrow and the following Bison were in the pre-seeds:
    133- March #5
    141- Droegemueller #7
    157- Franek #3
    165- Weber #3
    197- Pentz #3
    HWT- Metz #4

Based off of pre-seeds, NDSU would finish 4th in a very tough tourney, and that's without Brenner and Parker being seeded.

That being said, they have some tough quarterfinals. Pentz will have Tanner Sloan, who hasn't been healthy. If he is healthy, he could pummel Pentz. Weber will have Thomas Bullard, before a rematch vs NCAA champ Griffith. He had Griffith beat until the final 20 seconds at NCAAs. We could see Droegemueller and Carlson for the 487th time in the quarters too.

Kennedy is not seeded at 165 but he should be top 5.

There was a bit of movement from the pre-seeds to the bracket.

    March - #3
    Droegemueller not in the bracket
    Franek #2
    Weber #2
    Pentz #4
    Metz #4

Yesterday, I saw that Air Force wasn't coming, but they are in the brackets this morning.

Henningson has arguably the best unseeded guy in Greg Diakamaholis.
Frankly, March has a good path to the finals. He will have some difficult matches, but he can win them.
Sax should win his first and then get headlocked in round 2.
Franek has a chance to win his bracket. Both Mizzou matches will be tough.
Weber should see unseeded Kennedy in the semis.
Brenner has a good shot at the quarters, although he'd have to beat Minneosta's Bailee O'Reilly again. Habisch Should win some too.
I think Parker should make the quarters. Nelson Has a chance at winning some.
I still don't like Pentz having Sloan in the quarters, but if Sloan isn't healthy, Pentz should win.
Metz has a good path to the semis, but he will have a couple tough ones to get there.

All in all, other than no Dylan and Henningson's draw, looks good. Excited for a good couple days of action
