Why did we decline the penalty for the Valpo guy losing his helmet? Was that a small mercy or was there something to be gained by declining?

Little mercy maybe, but it made it 3rd and 12 instead of 2nd and 20...

On another thread earlier in the week, I said that we aren't likely to hang 50 on anyone. I stand corrected. I feel bad for Valpo. But we need to make it clear that last spring was a fluke and that we don't belong in FCS. Hanging 50 or more should help send that message.
