    Oh yeah?

    Found this in the Forum:

MSUM reported it had 5,047 students for the unofficial fall headcount, according to a news release issued Friday, Sept. 10. That’s down 485 students from last year, or about 9%.

Leave it to Chapo to draw exactly the wrong conclusion, smh.

I could be wrong, but I remember MSUM having more students than NDSU when I was in school in the 90s. They were roughly comparable size, I think.

I do wonder why MSUM is even needed with the trend of demographics and multitude of other options.

I know it's as likely to go away as the crazy number of state schools in ND...just saying.

Hey, you guys are right, the Forum must watch Bisonville for ideas. Who knew …

    https://www.inforum.com/news/educati...rend-across-US

I’m not worried because (1) the incoming freshman numbers continue to rise, so we’ve bottomed out it appears, (2) new grad students continue to rise, and (3) NDSU completely screwed the pooch on the on-line/continuing ed stuff about 10 years ago, and the new president will turn that around to take advantage of the state funding model (like UN_ has done. Notice how they never delineate how much of their enrollment is virtual).

As I’ve said before, this problem is exasperated by the relatively huge number of higher-ed institutions in ND. Like in football, however, NDSU punches well above its weight class as a research university. In fact, I was surprised to learn who our academic peers are in this regard: Wyoming, Delaware, Iowa State, and Kansas State.

You were surprised that other small land grants are considered our peers?

No of course not, but UD is an excellent research university, just like NDSU. Wrt St. Cloud St, I think you got your ND universities confused. They’d partner with the other one ...

It’s OK to be an NDSU fan JBND, even though you hate Imperial Cass

Good luck in Camp Randall!! I expect Bucky to eat you alive, and if they do, I will enjoy it immensely
