If stars and the opinion of scouts were all that mattered we wouldn't have won shit in the last ten years. Easton Stick and Brock Jensen wouldn't be the two winningest QB's in division history.
Also, I'm all for QP starting if he's half as good as this guy seems to think. But under 50% completion percentage isn't going to work in our offense. If that isn't corrected I wouldn't count out Payton as early as this year.

QP never got a chance at Va Tech - 22 total completions playing against P5 defenses. That sample size makes his Va Tech statistics meaningless. His completion percentage is low because of one poor game (9 of 28) against Notre Dame in 2019.
The guy has phenomenal arm talent. You needn't worry about his completion percentage in FCS.
