Hankey is great stuffing the run but his coverage ability needs to improve. But this is his senior year so I fully expect him to improve across the board and become a dominant linebacker. They seem to do these awards on stats alone.

I'll probably tee up some shots on Bisonville's favorite punching bag but I'm hoping to see some creative ways to get all the big three TEs more involved in games this year. Babicz and Gindorff are known entities who are good blockers and good pass catchers but hoping Gabe Lloyd can help stretch the seams a little more since he's more in the Jeff Illies mold of a pass-catching TE at 6'5" 227. These guys should be matchup nightmares for opposing OLBs especially if you can get 2 or all 3 of them on the field at once. Put all 3 of them in there and split Lloyd out wide. Put all 3 of them in there and line up Babicz or Gindorff at FB. A lot of possibilities with guys this big and athletic to get defenses off balance.

Reputation. Love his attitude . He should not be on the field in 3rd and long. Never understood why he is on the field for 100 percent of defensive snaps.

I agree. Definitely a leader on our defense. I do think we will see a lot more of Luke Weerts this season. Hankey has dealt with a of injuries over the past couple seasons. We will need to keep him healthy for a potential 15 games after playing 10 a few months ago. Weerts has the potential to be very good and has been in the system.

I also see Cole Wisniewski pushing for playing time also, maybe Jasir's spot. I don't think Jasir tackled very well last spring. Coach Morgan was raving about him on 1660 last week. I know he coaches corners but he said Cole is someone to look out for on defense.
