NDSU needs to make the move ASAP. The CFP will expand at some point, it simply has to because they know they are leaving money on the table. If you're not already FBS it will get harder to make the move once this expansion takes place IMO. At that point even the G5 will not want to share the pie. Larson better get his ass in gear and make it happen or they need to find someone who will.

I agree 100%. No G5 conference will ever accept new membership that isn’t already FBS. Some pretty serious talking and planning must take place soon if it hasn’t already. Dragging ones feet on something like this means FCS purgatory. That would hurt more than help.

If the money ever becomes good enough in G5 I see no reason the Valley couldn't move up en masse, or at least a coalition of Valley schools and Big Sky schools form a new conference and move up to FBS together. I'm sure NDSU isn't the only school in the conference (nor the only FCS school west of the Mississippi) keeping an eye on these developments.

It’s one thing to cherry pick the top couple of FCS schools but do you really think anyone in the FBS is interested in letting a whole conference worth of additional schools crash their party?

NDSU hasn’t been able to make it happen so far, but somehow you think other MVFC and Big Sky teams are going to have the funding to make the jump?

This is the kind of delusion I simply don't understand. It will be hard enough to get them to share it with one or two move-ups. It’s absurd to think they’d share it with a whole conference. I fully expect them to fight the whole WAC nonsense. Maybe you can try to sue them? Good luck to the majority of the MVFC with that effort.

On top of that, only one team in the MVFC has won 8 of the last 10 titles or whatever it is and had two QBs go in the top 3 of the NFL draft. I'm sorry Mr. Yote.
