im only going to say this once, mangy----------but i have a very, very good feeling about this weekend ... remember; the olympic club is where the club pro from davenport, iowa (jack fleck) took down the mighty henee bogan-------with his own friggen' clubs! GO AMY, GO BISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent picks and team SlickVic! Thanks for playing and for the outstanding sentiments regarding that upset in 1955, considered the greatest ever in golf. I had forgotten a lot of the details of that including the commonality of where it was played. Thanks to your post, I have really enjoyed looking back on it!

Here is to a very special week indeed sir!

Pairings for Day 1 of the US Women’s Open are up, and Amy will go out with Ariya Jutanugarn and Minjee Lee at 0755 in a very nice group! Very pleased with this pairing and wouldn’t it be something to follow them for a couple days?

Here are my picks for the 2021 2nd ANNUAL BV US WOMEN’S OPEN POOL!:

    A1. Jin Young Ko

    B1. Lydia Ko

    C1. Jessica Korda

    D1. Ariya Jutanugarn

    E1. Amy Olson

Predicted winner and winning score to follow. Subject to fine tuning which is allowed until the tournament starts.

Feel free to enter and pick your team right up until the day the tournament starts next week. For privacy you can PM your picks or you can post them here also. You can pick your alternates now or when the time comes either way. You can use the ROLEX RANKINGS from this week or next week for the tiers. Tiers again are: A. 1-5. B. 6-10. C. 11-20. D. 21-30. E. 31 and above.

    2020 Honorary Winning Captain-Lee Olson

I am going to fine tune my team by adding Ally Ewing in place of Jessica Korda! She seems to have a pretty hot hand after her win in The Bank of Hope event, and I believe she is a good friend of Amy as well! I may end up being sorry, as the initial choices are often the best!

    A1. Jin Young Ko

    B1. Lydia Ko

    C1. Ally Ewing

    D1. Ariya Jutanugarn

    E1. Amy Olson

    Tie Breaker:

Winner prediction is Amy Olson at -3!

Captains! Thanks to all and you still have about 24 hours to enter or fine tune a team! Please don’t forget about picking a winner and winning score in case of a tie! Lot of outstanding teams entered and a lot of Captains still to possibly jump in! Looking for some more of heffray’s Masters Captains to consider giving this a go also!

Was anyone watching the Golf Channel a bit ago? I went over to the bar to help the owner work on some stuff, and they did a segment on Amy. Probably lasted 15 minutes or so. Music was on, so I couldn't hear it, but I bet it was good. A lot of stuff with her and Grant and his father. I hope I can find it somewhere so I can hear it...

Thanks and thanks for all of your input SlickVic. That reminder of the amazing story of Jack Fleck is going to stay with me for a long time, and certainly enhance watching this tournament. Your knowledge and enthusiasm regarding the history of the game is impressive and fun to follow!

If you search YouTube on keywords “Amy Olson”, there is a lot of additional good stuff on there as an aside. Slow mo swing analysis, interviews, recaps of rounds and a lot more.

Once again, Hear hear, and here is to an amazing week at The Olympic Club and the US WOMEN’S OPEN!!

GoAmy...GoBison!! Go do this for The Captain, and for yourself and sweet Taneka, your family, friends, and fans!
