Yep, there are literally no excuses, particularly as we expand the age lower for vaccines. (and kids are a low risk for complications; and note it is probably not higher than the flu for young kids, specifically.) It is now a matter of personal choice; that changes the dynamic. Hospitalization numbers are now the most important metric for that reason.

This fall, If we only have statistically average QB play, we're in the semis. If we have slightly above average QB play, we make the natty, if we have top quartile QB play, we win the natty by more than a touchdown
1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
3. It's time to go FBS
This same logic applied to the spring season as well. The inability of the coaching staff to be able to handle getting so out of schedule with QB development was the difference this spring. We had the horses otherwise. (For what it is worth, I don't totally blame coaches. It was/is a hard thing to deal with.)

Sorta, yeah. At least that issue combined with Covid cramping our development program from actually fully developing players. These issues are both temporary. We'll be back to true form in the fall. Many of the players have finally acquired that chip on their shoulder.
