I just really dislike he transfer portal. It goes against our whole deal where we are a development program who prides itself on it... recruit, redshirt and retain a players for 4 years.

I'm starting to see the transfer portal as the watering down of the FCS. Hell each level under the highest of the P5s really.

As mentioned above, hard to be a developmental program if guys that shine in year 2 or 3 move on. Which could mean places like NDSU that built a superior program on year 3 and 4 players who know the system and program inside and out will be placed on the same level as places like SHSU and other who just grab the best of the rest that transfer down from FBS year after year.
