Things I’ll be watching today include:

- Fighting Hawks RB Otis Weah - which game is it???
Zach Zenner??? James Robinson??? Khalid Abdullah???

- A zenner famously became a unit of measure in 2013 (8 carries/5 yards)
Does Otis Weah become the next unit of measurement?

That would be amazing for NDSU!

- Or is Weah’s game like a James Robinson in last year’s playoffs?
Good game, but contained enough that the Bison go on to a W!

- Or is Weah’s game like JMU’s Khalid Abdullah?
Bison could not control Abdullah and lost the semi-final matchup......

- How does NDSU handle the Fighting Hawks run blitzes?
It will not surprise if this 3/4 Defense sends one or two defenders on blitzes each play. Bubba & Co were famous for it when he was Defensive Coordinator in Grand Forks from 1997 - 2003. Bubba will want to challenge the true freshman QB (or the immobile Sr QB).
Will the Bison need to pass to overcome that? Or can the QB run control it?
It concerns me as the deep RRO/RPO/7 yard I handoffs are regularly getting run down, by an outside blitz, from behind.

- Will we see the Bison offense use more quick-hitting plays to RB’s? Pitches? Swing passes? A FB run?
How about the TE passing game? Am expecting a lot of double TE formations against this 3/4 Defense. Mis-direction plays? Play-action passes? Slant patterns behind the LB’s? And many more.......
